Kathleen Ryan is an award-winning writer specializing in profile stories. She cut her teeth on story telling under the brilliant tutelage of the late Walt Morey (of Gentle Ben fame). In the 1980s Kathleen wrote for several newspapers, including the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald.
In addition to being the author of more than 1,200 articles in national and international magazines and trade publication, Kathleen has authored, co-authored, or ghosted nearly a dozen specialty books. She currently works as a public relations consultant with a family owned Web marketing company and writes three monthly magazine columns. 

Kathleen lives with her husband Bill in rural Alabama where she was a member of the Goshen Town Council for 5 years. She currently serves on the Pike County Parks and Recreation Committee, and sits on the Board of Directors for Pike County AIM For Hope.  Kathleen and her husband are the parents of four children and ten grandchildren.
